Students Enrolled in Business Schools Can Seek PR Status

Canada offers a range of immigration programs tailored to students, enabling them to stay in the country post-graduation. Among these, the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) stands out, allowing foreign students who have completed their studies in Canada to continue working in the country. This work permit is issued for a period equal to the length of the student's program, up to a maximum of three years. Once students have accumulated sufficient work experience in Canada, they can apply for PR through the Express Entry immigration program, which is points-based. The higher the score, the better the chances of receiving an invitation to apply for immigration.

Alternatively, students from business schools may choose a simpler route by applying for PR through the Start-up Visa immigration program, designed to promote entrepreneurship. This program offers foreign entrepreneurs, including those from business schools, the opportunity to establish their own startups in Canada and gain residency status more swiftly.
