Start-up Visa Immigration to Canada Surpasses Previous Records

Start-up Visa (SUV) immigration to Canada saw a slight slowdown in February, experiencing a 14.3% decrease in new permanent residents compared to January. This decline mirrors the overall trend of reduced Canadian immigration during this period. Nevertheless, despite this recent decrease, the numbers remain notably higher than those recorded during the same period last year. For instance, in January alone, Canada welcomed 490 immigrant entrepreneurs through the SUV program, marking a significant surge compared to the mere 50 arrivals in the previous year, highlighting the start up visa for Canada as a growing opportunity. Should this current trajectory persist, Canada stands to welcome as many as 5,550 immigrant entrepreneurs by the end of this year.
